Jacket Baby

Doesn't Levi look precious in this little jacket...he doesn't like the outdoors so much...but, if he did, he would be the cutest little jacket baby in town!!

Levi Lessons

Levi, Levi, Levi....here is our boy at 11 weeks! It is hard to believe this happy, chunky, smiling, cooing baby has been giving us such trials....he has taught me so much in the past days, weeks, months of his little precious life....too many things to list them all.

Spring Hairdo....

BEFORE:

AFTER:
Mason did great with his haircut...I got smart and brought some M&Ms...which he munched on while Miss Katie snipped away....

Purple Haze

Levi was stained purple from the old school thrush treatment: gentian violet!
WHAT A MESS!!

The purple is fading...

Mason went to watch Uncle Brandon play hockey so I got some good after-bath shots.

The second half of the month of March was filled with stress, bleach, chaos, boiling, tears, screaming, hand washing....mostly by Levi and me....We started having some nursing issues at the beginning of March and towards the middle I grew increasingly concerned about how little he was nursing so we ended up at the doctor's office looking into possible thrush, possible acid reflux, possible low milk supply.

Long story short, I think we are on the up and up. I have eliminated all dairy from my diet, which includes the obvious milk, yogurt, ice cream! and the not-so-obvious like most breads, dressings, lunch meat, the list goes on and on. Nursing is still not easy most of the time for us, but I know it is worth it and (hopefully) things will continue to get better....

As you can see, he is obviously gaining weight...and is coming alive in so many other ways, too! Levi is much more social...cooing and smiling and laughing...he loves his baths and kicking his legs...and watching Mason do just about anything.

I Try...

Mason has entered the "I TRY" or "I DO IT" phase...it is definitely fun to watch him take on new challenges like dressing/undressing by himself, but things get a bit sticky when he insists on pouring the maple syrup on his plate....

A couple days ago, we were outside playing and I ran in for a minute to get Levi...when I came back out, I found Mason like this...and, being the good, careful mom that I am, I said...Stay there while I grab the camera:
